Crushing Peppermint

I’ve tried to crush peppermint in many ways and found this to be the best method so far.

I’m not crazy about the plastic waste involved in this process, because you have to use a new bag for each handful of candy. Maybe I should try the candy canes but most of the time those are not available.

I tried the cotton dish towel method which worked best as far as crushing them, but big pieces of peppermint exploded across the kitchen, a big mess..

Forget about the blender and the bullet machine. Those machines separate the candy into pulverized powdered peppermint sugar and chunks that are still too large to use in a cookie recipe.

Still searching for a better method. Should probably stock up on candy canes while they’re available. They might be much easier to work with.
